Cleaning & Maintenance

To help you get the best possible use of your mat & maintain its appearance and usefulness over the longest possible time, please follow these instructions:

  1. Vacuum Daily
  2. Spot removal of stains.
Hand wash the stain using a water based carpet detergent or shampoo.
  3. Deep Clean Periodically
Depending on traffic & soil conditions, the mat should be cleaned using a hot water extraction cleaning system. Use a water based carpet detergent. Follow the manufacturer directions for using the extraction cleaner and detergent.
  4. Drying
This mat will dry quickly if all excess water is removed. Extract, “wet/dry” vacuum or hand the mat to remove excess water.
  5. Logo Cleaning
If your product contains a logo insert, the mat can be cleaned with most any water-based liquid or foam cleaner using a hand held scrub brush to remove surface soil. DO NOT use solvent-based cleaners, rotary scrubbers or other mechanical devices to clean logo mats. Use of solvent based cleaners or rotary scrubbers will void the warranty.
  6. Storage & Handling
Roll clean, dry mat in compact roll with pile FACING OUT. Store flat, in a cool dry place. DO NOT stand on end. DO NOT crush. Use of cardboard core recommended.
  7. Mats with anti-slip backing
Mats with anti-slip backing should not be dragged. Dragging these mats across the floor may damage the backing. To move these mats, it is best to roll them up and then pick up the entire roll.
  8. Mats with Velcro on backing
Mats using Velcro and placed on carpeted floors should not be lifted abruptly or pulled on to release mat from floor. To move mats with Velcro, roll mat up slowly to free Velcro from carpet. Make sure the Velcro is not releasing from the backing. Pick up entire mat to move or reposition.

CAUTION: IF THE BORDERS ON THE MATTING SHOULD BECOME BROKEN OR CURLED, REMOVE FROM SERVICE UNTIL THE TRIPPING HAZARD CAN BE CORRECTED.

  1. Torn or ripped borders
If the vinyl border of the mat is ripped or torn, the damage can usually be repaired by gluing the damaged section together with a cyanoacrylate ester type adhesive.
  2. Curled border or corners
Curled borders or corners can usually be flattened. Warm the vinyl in the curled area with a hair dryer until the vinyl relaxes and lays flat. DO NOT use a heat gun – excessive heat may damage the vinyl.
